Dishwasher/Cleaner

Dishwasher/Cleaner will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of the kitchen and Market + Eatery spaces, as well as performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to properly set-up a 3-compartment sink, sanitizer systems and drying board.
• Properly wash wares with correct soap.
• Comply with all safety and sanitation rules.
• Clean the dish station and prepare for the next shift.
• Follow daily cleaning checklist (floors, windows, counters, cases, etc.).
• Follow perpetual cleaning checklist (empty trash, empty grease trap, etc.).
• Cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, waxing floors and vacuuming.
• Refilling supplies, such as toilet paper and paper towels.
• Ordering new cleaning supplies as needed.
• Maintain clean and dry floors and use signs to indicate wet floors.
• Maintain, stock and clean restrooms.
• Assist with putting away deliveries and remove all related trash to dumpster.
• Remove garbage promptly to the outdoor trash area.  Maintain outdoor trash area.
• Time management skills, ability to multitask and maintain schedule while responding to incidents.
• Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
• Be able to read a cleaning and set-up check list.
• Arrive on-time for scheduled shifts.
• Be willing to assist with basic prep (peeling potatoes, etc.).
• Attend Isabel’s Market + Eatery team meetings, when applicable and necessary.
• Ability to read and understand cleaning chemicals and uses thereof.
• Read and understand staff handbook and follow procedures/policies accordingly.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, or working toward completion thereof.
• Previous and related experience (1-3 years) preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Schedule

• Part-time, approximately 20-35 hours/week.
• Available to work a variety of hours, shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Weekly schedule may vary.

Compensation

• $10.00 – $11.00/hour, depending on experience.
