The Intern will work closely with the Events & Catering Manager to learn the intricacies of catering from both a sales and operations standpoint, and will learn event planning, organization and oversight of all on-sight event logistics. The Intern will have the opportunity to work directly with event and/or catering customers to coordinate the details of their events including, but not limited to, menu selections, tastings, linen rental, set-up, and floral design. The intern will learn how to properly set-up and execute event and/or catering following the specific timeline and guidelines for each event. Excellent customer service, for clients and guests, attention to detail, and the ability to be organized and multi-task, is an expectation. The Intern will be expected to attend internal and customer meetings. Meetings may include customer site visits, pre-planning meetings, internal staff meetings, event ordering meetings, and staff meetings. Responsibilities
